Spacer Bar upgradeSpacer Bars:
Spacer bars are sent with a dado that snugly fits each column of your racking. Assembly can be done either by hand with the nails provided or by utilizing a brad nailer for faster assembly. If you would prefer to assemble your rack with screws you will need to predrill and countersink the holes to ensure you do not split the material.

Bottom Rail upgradeBottom Rail: All the racks in this Series have a 1 7/16" square cut bottom rail. With these rails, your bottles are stored securely above the floor level so they do not break accidentally by hitting a hard floor. In addition, the base molding supplied with this Series is 1 7/16" high and can be applied directly to the front of this rail.

We are thoroughly enjoying your Vintner Wine racks. I did use a nail gun which made assembly very easy. For a DIY project, your wine racks were right on the mark. The only issue I had was the length of the molding that combines the top and bottom portion. Since the width I needed was in excess of 48", I had to cut a piece that didn't exactly match the 48" main portion (as you can see in the picture). Other than that, the only other problem we're having is not being able to keep the wine rack full!! Thanks for such a great product!

We're the builder and the racks went into a high-end model home of ours. The end-user is extremely happy.

I'm very happy with how the rack turned out! Eric was great to work with and he went out of his way to make sure I was satisfied. The delivery was fine with only very minor damage to one box (one piece of wood was slightly damaged, but was hidden when installed). I must admit that when the kit was delivered and I opened each box, inventoried it and laid the parts out on my basement floor, it looked pretty intimidating. However, once I started assembling it, kit by kit, it all came together. The nail gun worked well and the whole rack fit the room well. Everyone that's seen it, thinks it's great!

I used the bonus installation kit (nail gun) to assemble the kits. It made the job much easier than if I had used hammer and nails. I was impressed with the dimensional accuracy of the kit components. They fit together very well and were true to the dimensions given in the on-line schematics. This was very important in planning the kit sizes since I went "wall to wall" and didn't want gaps or spaces. Allowing for furring, the overall assembly was within 1/2" at each end wall. Aesthetically, the units were pretty consistent in specified color and grain. This project was done with 4' and 3' stacked kits since the ceiling height is only 88.5 inches. I am still undecided about crown molding or using the top space for 1.5L bottle storage. That's about it!

I purchased Premium Redwood, unstained and the wood is really nice. Secured to the wall and they are sturdy. Took a few days to ship.

I could not have been happier with the planning & design process provided by your team. The installation was a little complicated but the finished product is exactly what I was looking for.

I love this series! Being able to stack and reach my full ceiling height makes it look really custom. They got here over a week after I ordered them. Premium Redwood with a light stain, it looks nice. I have the 5 column display with the regular 5 column on top of it.

The stacking Vintner Series was perfect for my needs. I wanted to go up to 7 feet. I had a small space so I was able to fit a 5 column and 1 column in perfectly. I used a brad nailer and the Premium Redwood was very solid and looks great.

We are using the wine racks in our basement for storage. They work just fine. We did not have trouble assembling them and there was no need for a nail gun. We are satisfied with the racks for our purposes.

I submitted my preliminary design and received excellent feedback and was to finalize the design in a few iterations. The consultant I dealt with was very helpful. I used the dimensions provided by Wine Cellar Innovations to build the wine cellar to size and everything fit perfectly. The unfinished redwood looks great when paired with tongue and groove redwood ceiling and cork flooring. Delivery took a few days as advertised. I also bought a split cooling system that looks great mount flush in the ceiling.

I ordered and quickly received 2 diamond racks (4 feet high) and 3 individual bottle racks and 1 individual bottle corner rack (all 4 feet high). In general, the quality of the kits is high, before and after assembly. Since my order qualified me for a free brad gun and compressor, my assembly was relatively easy. I accomplished solo assembly of all 6 racks in about 2-days. I cannot imagine assembling these rack kits solo without a brad gun and compressor. Perhaps with 2-people it would be possible. But one person does not have enough hands to hold parts in position while attempting to wield hammer and nail. One handed operation of a nail gun frees up your other hand for holding parts in position. The individual bottle racks are quite easy to assemble, about 2 hours for all 4. The diamond racks are another story and require a good miter s

We assembled the base kits first (yes with a nail gun - can't imagine trying to do it without one). We then customized by cutting the display racks off the bottom units and reassembling them on top of a custom display shelf. We also built a custom base and added base and crown molding top and bottom. Finally I added custom strip lighting throughout. I ordered Prime Mahogany with a Dark Walnut stain. A few thoughts on the process: 1. The kits went together fairly easily. 2. I was fairly happy with the quality with a couple of exceptions: (a) the finish quality of the wood was inconsistent, some was great, others just ok, and (b) the quality of the fit was inconsistent. What I mean by that is that the cross members did not always match up well, which leads to a rougher, unfinished/ professional look. We did the best we could when customizing but up

The wine cellar has a thermal door that opens up to a tasting/bar area. The wine cellar was one portion of a larger project involving the finishing of my home's overall basement. That larger project lasted about four months and is just now coming to a conclusion, cleaning things up and adding furnishings. I had several contractors involved in this work: masons, tilers, electricians, framing and carpentry (who did the actual rack assembly, using a nail gun). I acted as general contractor, doing the overall design and coordination. * Maybe a few things for your team to think about as you supply wine racks for similar efforts. (1) Your shipment involved 33 separate boxes which arrived in the context of the overall and more complex basement project. So we couldn't just open things without a plan. It took some time and calls to your business to sort out what was what and how to proceed. For example, the first call was to discover that a "module per box" was your packaging goal. It would have been nice if the overall design on the purchase order had clearly mentioned which modules were on which walls. The modules were not well indicated on the boxes -- felt tip marker, semi-legible and sometimes hidden beneath the FedEx shipping sticker. (2) My electrician was furnishing the LED lights tape for the display rows, so I had to come back to you and separately order the wood trim piece designed to hide that LED strip. But those trim pieces arrived without instructions on where and how to install them. So I put them in the wrong place initially, and another call was needed to procure the instructions. So, some rework. * For the tasting table, I chose to use the same tile I used on the cellar floor rather than the clear redwood you provided. It felt more solid and worked better with the stone feature wall at the far end of the cellar. To be sure, it all worked out fine in the end. And, yes, I would certainly recommend your racking to others.

The wine racks are working out well. I had a contractor assemble them for me and they did use a nail gun (they made it sound like there was a lot of nailing required).

My wife and I love our new wine room and have had several parties and showing off our newest room. The racks were great and the support from Mo with the questions I had was great after sale customer service. The only improvement I would recommend is a better master itemized layout of the finished product. Because my layout was complex I made some early mistakes not seeing how everything came together. Overall I am strongly recommending it to my friends.

The wine racks are awesome. They went together so easy. I did use a nail gun and they went together fast. I did them all in one day.

I am very pleased with my beautiful wine room from Wine Cellar Innovations. It looks professional and gets great compliments. The company representatives were very helpful with design advice and helping me chose the wood and stain. The kit was made to close tolerances and assembled in a couple of days. Assembly instructions were detailed and easy to follow. This is a very professional company and I recommend them highly.

Delivery was timely and easy. Assembly was greatly facilitated by the nail gun, the directions were not as clear as they could have been. Online instructional videos were invaluable. Once you get the hang of how they lay out and are supposed to be installed it goes quickly. The stain was uneven. To get a really good finish, I applied another coat of stain over the entire rack after completing. This gave it a nice even finish. Very happy with the results.

I did receive all the products I had requested and was overall happy with them. There were a few things that I found to be not desirable but I just seemed to deal with it. Some boxes did not come with every piece so there are some sections that are missing a back support or something similar. I did use the nail gun kit you provided and found that it helped tremendously... However there is a decent size leak in the tank so it ran constantly and was rather obnoxious.

Shipping Methods
Wine Cellar Innovations uses various shipping methods to ensure that your racking and other purchases arrive to you when you need it, and free from damage. We utilize several different shipping carriers depending on your order size and where we are shipping your order to. The carriers we generally use are: Fed Ex, UPS, Roadway Express, Overnite Transportation, Dawes Transportation, ABF, Team Worldwide, & Yellow. Nonetheless, the list is not exclusive. The customer will get an e-mail confirmation from us once the order has been shipped from our facility advising of the carrier utilized as well as the tracking information. This allows the customer to plan accordingly for the expected delivery.
The following is for reference of larger orders or custom wine cellars:
Maximum Protection of Your Order
Our custom cellars are boxed in corrugated with corner protectors, then stacked and shrink wrapped onto skids. The skids contain plywood aprons around the perimeter as shown to minimize damage from fork lifts while being moved around shipping terminals and on/off the trucks. The vast majority of custom cellars ship via common carrier.
Basic Delivery
This method involves shipping via a 53' foot semi-trailer. The trailer will arrive at the customer's residence and the driver will open the back of the truck and step aside to allow the designated personnel of the customer to do the unloading. If the basic service does not fit your needs we also have a host of additional services listed below that you can choose from for an additional cost.
Customer pickup
Once the order is completed, Wine Cellar Innovations contacts the customer immediately. The customer will then be responsible for contacting their design consultant with the date they will be arriving for pick up. Pick up date and times are Monday - Thursday 8:00 AM - 12:30 PM and 2:00 PM - 5:00 PM. Please be advised that the afternoon pickup may be at the same time as large carriers are being loaded and delays in loading your product may occur. If the product needs to be loaded on a skid, Wine Cellar Innovations requires that the customer should advise us prior to the pickup.
Third party shipping
Means the customer has their own shipping company and is going to arrange for delivery of the product to their final destination at their expense. Wine Cellar Innovations will need a completely filled out Bill of Lading at least 24 hours prior to the scheduled pick up date of the product. The product will be loaded on skids and the customer pays a skid fee charged by Wine Cellar Innovations for each skid required to package the order. Thereafter, we notify the customer when the order is complete and ready for pick up. Pick up date and times are Monday-Thursday 8:00 AM - 12:30 PM and 2:00 PM - 5:00 PM.
Inside Delivery and lift gate service
For this method, it is the carrier that removes the product off of their truck and delivers it into either the customer's garage or the first room that is past the threshold of the customer's residence or place of business. Lift gate service is required for them to take the product off the truck due to the length and weight of the same.
Gated community
This needs to be marked as such if the customer resides in one. That's because there are only a limited number of specialty carriers who are willing to make deliveries to these communities due to the extra work involved and in clearing a time for delivery and getting the clearance with security.
Small truck
This method is resorted to if a 53' long semi trailer will not be able to make a delivery to park in front of the customer's home or in the driveway at the time of delivery.
Two man delivery service
A product that is in excess of 70 pounds per box will first be checked by Wine Cellar Innovations in order that this delivery option can be utilized. Or, if the customer has requested delivery of the product inside their residence to a location other than the first room past the threshold of their residence or place of business.
Turn Key Quote

A Turn Key quote will be required if delivery is to be made to the following

  • A Condo
  • A High rise
  • Any residential area where trucking companies must use asn elevator
  • If the customer wants delivery past the threshold inside the residence.
  • If the drop off location is not directly off of the driveway or if the driveway is inaccessible.
