Tech Tuesday – Episode #19 – Redwood Vintner Wine Racks

January 18th, 2011

What’s the next best thing to having a huge wine collection? Why, having a huge wine cellar to store them in, of course! And that’s exactly what we have today – another huge wine cellar built right here in Cincinnati.

In case we haven’t mentioned, one of the things we love about writing Tech Tuesdays is the variety of wine cellar sizes – from the small, wine closets to huge, magnificent wine rooms. Last week we wrote about an All Heart Redwood wine cellar with red accents. What did you think about that?  Whether they’re built in homes or in stores and restaurants, we just love building wine cellars and writing about them.

Speaking of building wine cellars, you know there’s no other wood that’s been trusted to last for years — Premium Redwood. The wood of choice for wine cellars, not only is it durable and stunning, the Redwood also projects age beautifully.

Do these racks look familiar to you? They should be, because we wrote about them recently! Yes, these racks are from the Vintner Series Modular Wine Racks Collection – extremely versatile racks that keep up with you as you grow your precious collection.

For this project, a combination of 2, 3, 4 and 10 column Vintner wine racks were put together to create this home storage for a huge collection. This wine cellar is capable of storing 2,160 bottles of wine! Each individual bottle storage features customized rails for wine bottles that are carefully manufactured with beveled ends and rounded edges. This ensures that wine labels will not tear every time bottles are removed during those special occasions.
And what else to do we have here? A Whisperkool self-contained system which has both the evaporator & condenser all in one unit.

The Vintner Series is indeed a great choice for huge wine cellars. The wine racks may be stacked on top of one another and can accommodate any ceiling height, and with so many choices in racking options, it’s so easy to mix and match wine rack styles to create a custom wine room.
