The five column individual bottle wine rack is one of our most popular items. Created in short depth, it uses less wood which makes it more affordable. Yet, the body of the wine bottle is fully supported within the wine racks while the neck of the bottle slightly sticks out. Purchase two or more to stack on top of each other to maximize the height of your wine storage. All Winemaker wine racks must be mounted 1 1/2" off the wall to ensure proper wine bottle stability, and will therefore add 1 /1/2" to the listed dimensions. Moldings and platforms are sold separately. Assembly required.
  • Versatile wine racking
  • Racking must be assembled 1 1/2" from the wall
  • Can fit just about any ceiling height
  • Custom, organized look at great prices
  • Various racking styles and display options
  • Made in the USA
vin-base-thumb.jpg Utilize this platform specifically designed and engineered to elevate each wine rack kit. You must also purchase this special platform in order to use the 5 1/4" base molding package. This platform can support one wine rack, or two stacked. The platform is 3 13/16" High, and will allow you to maximize the rack height in any room. Please note: If you order the platform stained, only the top will be stained, as majority of customers will be attaching base molding to the front of the platform. If you would like the front or the side of the platform to be stained, you should order a half pint of stain from us to touch it up. Please call to order stain. Additional cost applies.

Platforms are available for purchase here.

Spacer Bar upgradeSpacer Bars:
Spacer bars are sent with a dado that snugly fits each column of your racking. You can assemble the rack with the nails provided, or you can utilize a handy brad nailer for faster assembly. A third option is using screws, if you prefer that method. You will need to predrill and countersink the holes to ensure you do not split the material.

Bottom Rail upgradeBottom Rail: All the racks in this Series have a 1 7/16" square cut bottom rail. These rails make it so your bottles are stored securely above the floor level so they would not break accidentally by hitting a hard floor. Added to this, the base molding supplied with this Series is 1 7/16" high and can be applied directly to the front of this rail.

The wine rack is in our "wine cellar", a nifty room in our basement. Works great.

The wine racks work and look great!

These racks are great. With the short depth, they are affordable and we have two whole walls with them. The display row looks great on the bottom half and they stack up to 8 feet. We get many compliments from friends and family.

Shipping was no problem, everything arrived promptly and in excellent condition! Assembly - the corner units were a bit difficult to assemble, since it's not possible to lay the parts flat - everything is curved! But I got them assembled with no major incident. The other thing I noticed about the the corner units was that they were not "naturally square" - when I installed them in my cellar, I used the adjacent wall units to "square" them up - no problem, but just a noticing. I also modified and customized some racks to fit the odd-shaped spaces in my cellar (notably the slanted ceiling under the stairway). With some leftover parts, I custom built a small rack for half-bottles as well. I had some racks from my former cellar that I had ordered from you years back, so there are some slight differences in style, especially the top and bottom trim pieces. However, in the final cellar, everything looks great! My cellar is compact - only about 40 square feet - and part of it is tucked under a stairway. However, the cellar has a capacity of over 750 bottles, so the racks made very good use of space. Primary lighting is all LED (from IKEA), so very little heat to contend with. I also have a supplemental chandelier light on a dimmer, for additional light (for reading those labels where the vintage is written in very small text!). It is cooled by a Cellar Pro cooling unit, and is completely insulated and vapor barrier-ed. The walls are spray textured with a light texture, then painted with a light colored base coat and then "rag painted" with a darker glaze to resemble old cellar plaster. The look I wanted to create is modeled after a double-page ad for Penfold's Grange of a cellar in Buckinghamshire, UK, that appeared in Wine Spectator, WSJ, and other magazines last summer. Overall, I'm very pleased with the final result, as well as the components that went into it!

Everything was delivered in good condition and on time. As it turned out, I ended up getting one more rack than I needed, but I may try to use that in the garage at some point. Great customer service.

They arrived in good shape and they work fine for my needs. Assembly was reasonably easy, but I did not use a nail gun; just small finishing nails. I also put a top shelf to cover the top opening of each rack. My wine cellar is under my garage, with a door leading to it from the floor of our pantry.

The rack worked out great and we love our vintage barrel covered table. Thank you!

I just wanted to let you know the directions included in the kit were horrible. I cannot recommend your product to anyone based off the experience of putting the kit together. [WCI RESPONSE: Thank you for the feedback. We have extensive install videos in our Learning Center that go over the best way to put together the kit. We also highly recommend a nail gun because splitting, especially on a softer wood like Pine, can be a problem. Did you use nails or a nail gun? The instructions go over our free replacement policy for any issues during installation. If there was splitting, let us know. We are very sorry you had troubles. ]

Everything was shipped correctly and received. My contractor did use a nail gun. Everything turned out great!

I assembled the rack for my basement so it is standalone at the moment and the temperature/humidity conditions are pretty good as is. Assembling was a bit of an exercise. I misinterpreted the directions and put on a part backwards and had to remove/reapply. A nail gun would have been a nice piece of equipment to use. I used the old fashion hammer. I was a bit surprised how soft/thin the Pine wood was. I was assuming the rack would have been more substantial. That being said, I am happy with it and the bottles are a lot better off than they were in their cardboard shipping boxes.

The racks were great. Assembly was easy and I used a nail gun. Thanks for the great service.

Wine rack arrived on time and was easy to put together. I used a hammer since I was too lazy to pull out the air compressor and get my nail gun working, but a hammer worked just fine since Pine wood is pretty soft and easy to work with. We're very happy with your product. Thanks again for a great product.

I did receive everything in good condition and assembled them with a nail gun. It is working well for my wine storage needs.

I bought it for my husband who was using PVC pipe cut into tubes to hold our wine in the basement. Your rack plus the chalkboard labels I bought dresses it up a bit! I do have to say the idea of installation was easy - hammer and nails. I would buy again, however request that before I do so, the quality of materials (ie nails) sent improves. The soft nails cracked much of the wood.

Shipping Methods
We use an assortment of shipping methods to ensure that your racking and other purchases arrive to you when you need it, and free from damage. We are actually working with a number of shipping companies and utilize the most suitable ones depending on your order size and where we are shipping your order to. The list is not exclusive, but here are some of the more frequently utilized carriers: Fed Ex, UPS, Roadway Express, Overnite Transportation, Dawes Transportation, ABF, Team Worldwide, & Yellow. You will receive an email confirmation from us once your order has shipped from our facility advising you of the carrier and the tracking information, so you can plan for your delivery accordingly.
The following is for reference of larger orders or custom wine cellars:
Maximum Protection of Your Order
We ensure proper security of custom wine cellar orders by putting them in corrugated containers with corner protectors and then stacked and shrink wrapped onto skids. These skids have plywood aprons around the perimeter as shown to ensure minimal damage from fork lifts while being moved around shipping terminals and on/off the trucks. The vast majority of custom cellars ship via a common shipping carrier.
Basic Delivery
This shipping option is done via a 53' foot semi-trailer that will arrive at your residence. The driver opens the back of the truck and steps aside for the assigned party on your end to do the unloading. If the basic service does not fit your needs we also have a host of additional services listed below that you can choose from for an additional cost.
Customer pickup
This method is quite self-explanatory and we get in touch with the client the moment the order is completed. The client will then contact their design consultant with the date they will be arriving for pick up. Pick up date and times are Monday - Thursday 8:00 AM - 12:30 PM and 2:00 PM - 5:00 PM. Keep in mind that the afternoon pickup may be at the same time as large carriers are being loaded and which may at times result in delays in the loading of your product. In addition, we also need to be notified if the product will be loaded on a skid.
Third party shipping
Means the customer has their own shipping company and is going to arrange for delivery of the product to their final destination at their expense. Wine Cellar Innovations will need a completely filled out Bill of Lading at least 24 hours prior to the scheduled pick up date of the product. The product is generally loaded onto skids and the client is charged with a skid fee by us for each skid required to package your order. We then notify the client when their order is complete and ready for pick up. Pick up date and times are Monday-Thursday 8:00 AM - 12:30 PM and 2:00 PM - 5:00 PM.
Inside Delivery and lift gate service
In this method, the carrier removes the product off of their truck and delivers it into your garage or the first room that is past the threshold of your residence or place of business. Note that a lift gate service is required to unload the product from the truck due to its length and weight.
Gated community
There are only a limited number of specialty carriers who are willing to make deliveries to these communities, so the client needs to indicate it if they are residing in one. This is due to the extra work involved in clearing a time for delivery and getting the clearance with security.
Small truck
Is required if a 53' long semi trailer will not be able to make a delivery to park in front of your home or in your driveway at the time of delivery.
Two man delivery service
Will be checked by Wine Cellar Innovations if we are shipping product this in excess of 70 pounds per box or if you have requested delivery of your product inside your home to a location other than the first room pass the threshold of your residence or place of business.
