KIT SERIES UPGRADES

Spacer Bar upgradeSpacer Bars:
Spacer bars are sent with a dado that snugly fits each column of your racking. Assembly can be done either by hand with the nails provided or by utilizing a brad nailer for faster assembly. If you would prefer to assemble your rack with screws you will need to predrill and countersink the holes to ensure you do not split the material.

Bottom Rail upgradeBottom Rail: All the racks in this Series have a 1 7/16" square cut bottom rail. With these rails, your bottles are stored securely above the floor level so they do not break accidentally by hitting a hard floor. In addition, the base molding supplied with this Series is 1 7/16" high and can be applied directly to the front of this rail.

The racks are working beautifully, as envisioned. I and my contractor drew up the plans for the custom wine cellar. It was build on an outside, unused garden space that is about four feet below floor level. So there is a sunken feature to its position, and as you walk in the front door you look directly across the entrance and past a large window that shows off the cellar and racks. If one then goes to the right and around to the dining room, it looks at the back end through the glass doors into the cellar directly on the other side. I have the cellar walls and ceiling covered with reclaimed (old) redwood - sandblasted. Being near Napa especially, we have a wine barrell at the center with a special faucet/sink and redwood slab in between the lower and upper racks. Have interior sconces, etc. The one missing element: I have not yet finished the custom stained glass that will rest above the sink (. I do the stained glass work. Just too much going on right now.). So there is a black space at this point. A very nice upgrade from a "dead space" that we saw when we bought the house last April. We had to do much custom work but it came out and is so easy to access wine at this point! (BTW, keep it at 56 degrees.)

The wine cellar has a thermal door that opens up to a tasting/bar area. The wine cellar was one portion of a larger project involving the finishing of my home's overall basement. That larger project lasted about four months and is just now coming to a conclusion, cleaning things up and adding furnishings. I had several contractors involved in this work: masons, tilers, electricians, framing and carpentry (who did the actual rack assembly, using a nail gun). I acted as general contractor, doing the overall design and coordination. * Maybe a few things for your team to think about as you supply wine racks for similar efforts. (1) Your shipment involved 33 separate boxes which arrived in the context of the overall and more complex basement project. So we couldn't just open things without a plan. It took some time and calls to your business to sort out what was what and how to proceed. For example, the first call was to discover that a "module per box" was your packaging goal. It would have been nice if the overall design on the purchase order had clearly mentioned which modules were on which walls. The modules were not well indicated on the boxes -- felt tip marker, semi-legible and sometimes hidden beneath the FedEx shipping sticker. (2) My electrician was furnishing the LED lights tape for the display rows, so I had to come back to you and separately order the wood trim piece designed to hide that LED strip. But those trim pieces arrived without instructions on where and how to install them. So I put them in the wrong place initially, and another call was needed to procure the instructions. So, some rework. * For the tasting table, I chose to use the same tile I used on the cellar floor rather than the clear redwood you provided. It felt more solid and worked better with the stone feature wall at the far end of the cellar. To be sure, it all worked out fine in the end. And, yes, I would certainly recommend your racking to others.

The wine racks are working out well. I had a contractor assemble them for me and they did use a nail gun (they made it sound like there was a lot of nailing required).

We completed the installation 2 weeks ago and are absolutely thrilled with the way it turned out. We used a nail gun to assemble the wine racks. I do not think it possible to do it any other way. I think that your company has some great resources in term of videos and instruction manuals to assist in the installation. My only comment would be that these aids should part of the sales/delivery process and not offered only after they are requested. All in all we are very happy with the finished product.

I was extremely satisfied with all the efforts of Jordan Newman with Wine Cellar Innovations. Jordan made the design of the specified space very easy and the racking system not only fit perfect but also looks amazing. We had a contractor handle our installation and it went very seamlessly. We also purchased a cooling system for the cellar that is providing a very consistent and reliable 55 degrees for our red wine collection. The design process was a great deal easier than I imaged once I made contact with Jordan. I would highly recommend anyone looking to install an amazing wine cellar to work with Wine Cellar Innovations. Thank you for your follow up and for providing amazing customer service throughout the process.

Shipping Methods
We use an assortment of shipping methods to ensure that your racking and other purchases arrive to you when you need it, and free from damage. We are actually working with a number of shipping companies and utilize the most suitable ones depending on your order size and where we are shipping your order to. The list is not exclusive, but here are some of the more frequently utilized carriers: Fed Ex, UPS, Roadway Express, Overnite Transportation, Dawes Transportation, ABF, Team Worldwide, & Yellow. You will receive an email confirmation from us once your order has shipped from our facility advising you of the carrier and the tracking information, so you can plan for your delivery accordingly.

The following is for reference of larger orders or custom wine cellars:

Maximum Protection of Your Order
We ensure proper security of custom wine cellar orders by putting them in corrugated containers with corner protectors and then stacked and shrink wrapped onto skids. These skids have plywood aprons around the perimeter as shown to ensure minimal damage from fork lifts while being moved around shipping terminals and on/off the trucks. The vast majority of custom cellars ship via a common shipping carrier.

Basic Delivery
This shipping option is done via a 53' foot semi-trailer that will arrive at your residence. The driver opens the back of the truck and steps aside for the assigned party on your end to do the unloading. If the basic service does not fit your needs we also have a host of additional services listed below that you can choose from for an additional cost.

Customer pickup
This method is quite self-explanatory and we get in touch with the client the moment the order is completed. The client will then contact their design consultant with the date they will be arriving for pick up. Pick up date and times are Monday - Thursday 8:00 AM - 12:30 PM and 2:00 PM - 5:00 PM. Keep in mind that the afternoon pickup may be at the same time as large carriers are being loaded and which may at times result in delays in the loading of your product. In addition, we also need to be notified if the product will be loaded on a skid.

Third party shipping
Means the customer has their own shipping company and is going to arrange for delivery of the product to their final destination at their expense. Wine Cellar Innovations will need a completely filled out Bill of Lading at least 24 hours prior to the scheduled pick up date of the product. The product is generally loaded onto skids and the client is charged with a skid fee by us for each skid required to package your order. We then notify the client when their order is complete and ready for pick up. Pick up date and times are Monday-Thursday 8:00 AM - 12:30 PM and 2:00 PM - 5:00 PM.

Inside Delivery and lift gate service
In this method, the carrier removes the product off of their truck and delivers it into your garage or the first room that is past the threshold of your residence or place of business. Note that a lift gate service is required to unload the product from the truck due to its length and weight.

Gated community
There are only a limited number of specialty carriers who are willing to make deliveries to these communities, so the client needs to indicate it if they are residing in one. This is due to the extra work involved in clearing a time for delivery and getting the clearance with security.

Small truck
Is required if a 53' long semi trailer will not be able to make a delivery to park in front of your home or in your driveway at the time of delivery.

Two man delivery service
Will be checked by Wine Cellar Innovations if we are shipping product this in excess of 70 pounds per box or if you have requested delivery of your product inside your home to a location other than the first room pass the threshold of your residence or place of business.
