Customize Your Dream Wine Cellar With Our West Virginia Design Consultant

West Virginia is located in the eastern portion of the United States, in the tree-covered Appalachian Mountains. The town of Harpers Ferry is the site of a famous Civil War–era raid. Most of the major cities in the state still carry that historical feel, something that might also be an indirect influence on the wine cellar design tastes of most of the clients our team have worked with. The traditional theme is a recurring one in the several projects WCI has completed in the state. It's definitely right up our alley, but we also can't wait to bring some modern flavor into future projects as well.

"I love this company! We had a small area which was attached to my basement that I wanted to convert into a wine cellar. After considering several other companies, I decided to work with Wine Cellar Innovations and I'm very glad I did. They took my room dimensions and worked out a few options to maximize the space. They were easy to work with and helped with returns and reconfiguration along the way as I build my wine cellar. We have a ton of Zinfandel, Malbec, Cab & Petit Syrah barreled right now that will be ready to bottle in the fall. Once we bottle everything we've got in barrels, the cellar will be busting at the seams. Can't express how happy I was with the process. Very affordable too!" ~ Robert G. ~

project #275255 - Morgantown, WV
Our team completed this Vintner racking assembly for the client, with Premium Redwood wood option and a classic Dark Walnut stain. The wine racks were also dressed up with one coat of lacquer, giving them a beautiful sheen. Other notable features of this project include the beautiful beaded crown with JD molding, the single deep table top material, and bottle storage for double magnum racks.

"We really love how the wine cellar turned out! We purchased Midnight Black in Rustic Pine wood and we were impressed with how the stain quality was. When we unpackaged it, we saw it was nicely in the box so it didn't get scratched. We felt that the installation was straightforward. The 10 column rack did not come with enough nails to double nail the back spacers in so we could follow the directions but there were enough in the other racks to complete the project." ~Jeremy B.~

Important Questions to Ask Before Planning Your West Virginia Wine Cellar

What wine racking style is the most space-efficient?
We can say that wall-mount racking units are the ones that can really help in maximizing bottle storage capacity in a wine cellar. One good example is our Vintage View Wall Mounted Series. The racking units can be easily installed on any available wall space. They are designed to hold standard sized wine bottles when mounted 7.5 inches apart, but will also hold split-sized bottles when mounted 5.5 inches apart.

What are "wine lockers?"
A wine locker is a racking style that takes the concept of security storage to the next level. This type of racking is utilized usually in country clubs, wine stores, restaurants, bars, and public storage areas across the country. These secured wine locker storage racks have attractive metal lattice for open air circulation, as well as locks that can be keyed in numerous configurations, or as one single key.

Can wine cellar doors also be customized?
Yes, they definitely can! If you are willing to spare a few more weeks of waiting time, WCI can customize a door to your design specifications. That includes decorative applications such as etched or painted glass. But if you want one ASAP, we also have an extensive collection of standard door designs.

What is included in your wine cellar installation services?
WCI's installation services extends worldwide! Our installations average 4- 5 days, with free consultation on construction requirements for wine cellars and wine racks. Our team works flexible hours, including weekends. With over 60 years of construction experience, we have a 99% satisfaction rate with installs. Moreover, we clean up the work area after job completion!
