North Carolina Wine Cellars & Wine Racks
project #227222 in Wilmington, NC
We love this Wilmington, North Carolina glass enclosed wine room as they were able to use our WineMaker racking kits to fully build out their wine storage area yet it looks like a custom install! Our WineMaker Series is short depth which uses less material but still holds the body of the bottle. Reaching all the way to the ceiling, it holds excellent storage along with magnum bottles on the left and diamond bins under their glass rack. Charles was wildly happy about his purchase and says "it shines on it's own" and being used daily.
project #294873 - Glenville, North Carolina
This wine room was a love affair of metal and wood marrying the Grand Mahogany wine cellar to these sturdy welded stainless steel tubes to show off the wine bottles to perfection. The entire cellar holds 1,205 wine bottles with a long tabletop running the length of the room with the corners having a 90 degree angle to encase the rest of the room. We did a custom installation for them and traveled out to North Carolina to ensure it was correctly setup. This was a beauty and the Glenville, North Carolina wine cellar owners were thrilled with the end product.
project #161678 - Essex Fells, North Carolina Wine Racks
"We built a cellar in an existing mechanical room in our lower level which abuts to the earth on 2 sides. The cellar was created in cave-like fashion to replicate a number of European cellars we frequented while living there. We chose the Wine Cellar Innovations shelves based on simple research, variety of choices and current reviews. We wanted something tasteful, sturdy, easy to assemble and not overly expensive. Racks arrived properly packaged, in a timely fashion. Of the thirteen or so boxes we received one that had a missing piece, discovered during inventory. This was quickly resolved with a replacement unit. Shelves are great and patience is essential during assembly and installation." ~Kevin M.~
project #301115 - Durham, NC
With 3 coats of elite lacquer, we wanted to show off this uniform wine cellar with Premium Redwood racks, stained in dark walnut. You can see the shiny gleam of the wood in this fresh installation. This wine cellar holds 1,208 wine bottles, and is quite a nice sized wine cellar. It was fun helping install this Durham, NC wine room and they also ordered a proper wine cellar cooling unit
to make sure their wines were kept at the perfect temperature.

4 Questions to Ask Before Planning Your North Carolina Wine Cellar
Can you tell me the difference between a wine fridge and a wine cabinet?
We often have clients going wine tasting and coming back with many bottles of wine but no way to store them. In smaller urban settings, you might not have room for a large wine room but you do have room for a fridge! A wine fridge is basically a refrigerator that is specifically designed for keeping wines cooled and served shortly. With a wine cabinet, you have a wine storage system that is designed for the long term preservation of your wines keeping in mind the proper humidity and reliable temperatures. We have some beautiful examples of refrigerated wine cabinets
if you are looking for something amazing for your home.
Do you have stand alone racking or are they wall mounted?
Our stand alone racking can usually be found in our commercial wine rack line but most of our residential wine racking does need to be secured to the wall. You can find more information in the assembly guide on our products or watch our assembly videos
for more information.
Can you tell me the latest trends in wine cellars?
Like anything, trends come and go from society and the best wine cellar for you is going to be something you love looking at for years to come. However, we have been seeing more of a swing to mixing metal and wood for a modern wine cellars
as well as the use of white or gray washing in color. Using different colors against the walls or beautiful chandeliers and wine art can spruce up your wine cellar in interesting ways.
What's the best wine cellar door to have?
This is entirely up to you! As long as the wine cellar door
is properly built to seal in the air and protect your wines, the look and feel of the door is something you can have fun designing. From standard doors, to arched glass, engraving, or arching wood doors we have options for you. Browse through our options and have fun designing!

Michael E. - #290660
I have four racks, but really use the big rack as our main storage unit. (Two are connected together) They were easy to assemble using an air brad gun. (I used 1-1/2 and 1 inch brads) The trim I ordered matched perfectly and the racks add a nice touch to the bonus room. I bought and installed four racks, three for 750 ML bottles and one for 1.5 sizes. I plan on putting beveled glass on top of them for display purposes. The magnum set was short a piece, however, the customer service people were very quick to remedy the problem and I received the needed piece right away.
So pleased to use your company because:
1. you're in the Cincinnati area. ( I need some Montgomery Ribs, "Coneys" and Skyline Chili!!)
2. the product is USA made. Thank You!!
3. I liked the ease of assembly.
4. the variety of racks available.
5. the customer service.
6. The use of the redwood material which is SFI certified is also was very impressive. Renewable resources can be cost effective, can't they? (25 years in environmental resource protection and enforcement)
A friend of mine, who bought wine for World Market, approved of the racks. She was very impressed.
I would recommend your product for its design and quality.
Question? Do you have tours of your company plant or factory? I would love to see how you make these rack sets. So, from the Outer Banks of North Carolina, thanks!
I knocked a hole in the wall under my stairs and turned the space into a very small wine closet. I did purchase a nail gun to use when I started the construction of the space so the gun came in handy with the wine rack! My neighbors love it and so do I. Its a wonderful addition to my place. Now I need to finish stocking the rack! :) Thank you for following up with me. I will recommend Wine Innovations to all.
