project #245481 - Buffalo, New York
The size and design of this New York residential wine cellar is truly stunning. The room was about 8' x 8' with tiled floors and painted walls. The walls were made with moisture resistant drywall, but in addition, the client also had a Whisperkool wine cooling unit installed. This created the perfect wine storage conditions for the client's collection. There is a wonderful variety in bottle storage options and the curved corner racks, crown and base moldings, and center seam trim really gave the entire project a professional look.
"The shipping was great no issues at all and it came quickly. We are loving the final result! The room was about 8' x 8' and the floor tiled and walls painted that were made with moisture resistant drywall. We also have it cooled to a constant 58 degrees with the Whisperkool chiller also purchased from you. The door was custom made by our contractor and the lighting in the arch is LED. The ceiling light is made of cork."

4 Questions to Ask Before Planning Your New York Wine Cellar
Can you build a wine cellar in a small space?
You most definitely can! Wine storage nowadays doesn't translate to just formal wine rooms. You can create the proper environment for your collection even in a compact living space. Wine racking units are now available in lots of various sizes, including metal wine racks
that can just be wall-mounted.
Do I need a wine cooling system?
Yes, you will need to purchase a wine cooling system to help maintain the ideal wine storage conditions. If you have a smaller wine storage for your collection, there are also refrigeration systems that are suitable for more compact spaces. For example, CellarPro offers entry-level wine cellar cooling systems
that are perfect for small-sized projects.
What material is best for my wine cellar floors?
There are plenty of materials you can choose from for your wine cellar flooring. The Vintage Wine Barrel flooring
is one of the most popular ones. Another one is the Cork Floor which is eco-friendly, as well as cost-efficient. You can also choose to be more stylish with intricate Hand Painted Tiles or Mosaic flooring pieces.
What is the average budget for a wine cellar project?
This is what our professional consultants are here for! We will work with you and with the budget you have set for your wine cellar goals. There are lots of options and alternatives when it comes to wine cellar products
and materials. Our job is make sure that we bring quality and satisfaction to our clients while working within the budget.

Everyone loves the Commercial Islands over at Zabi's Wine in South Hampton. It worked out well and I will send you more photos once they are filled with bottles!

It turned out great! There were some issues with one of the kits where my contractor had to take it apart and reassemble it but overall I'm very happy with the product. It took two skilled laborers two full days and a nail gun to assemble the whole thing.
Billsboro Winery LOVES our wine racks! They look amazing in the tasting room and were VERY easy to assemble. We did not use a nail gun. Each took about 20 minutes to assemble with 2 people working. We'll definitely be ordering more when needed.
I did purchase some racks recently to construct a cellar that your folks designed. It wasn't quick, easy or painless, but we're quite happy with the final product - price, design, fit and finish. Shipping was quick once it got out your doors, with only minimal damage to a small number of pieces en route. We did use a brad nailer (and glue where appropriate) for assembly, and found the parts to be well cut so there were minimal gaps. There are rows where your design puts a back brace in a place that makes it hard to get a bottle in completely - a solve for that would be a great improvement. We ad-libbed some of the trim work out of the redwood provided as you will see in the attached photo of the north half of the cellar. Over all, I would recommend the product to others with a few small caveats about turnaround time expectations for design and delivery.
Nick Ferol helped us design the cellar that we had envisioned. I just finished putting the whole thing together. It's a combo of the redwood vintner racks and vintage view racks. Assembly went smoothly with a nail gun and a few modifications, mostly with trim. One wall has an 11 column rack that is a combo of a 5, 5 and 1. Floor is cork and ceiling is aromatic cedar closet liner in herringbone pattern. Its a passive cellar in the basement of our house built in 1910, so ceiling height is only about 73â€, making the 72†racks look custom. Behind the walls is 4†of closed cell spray foam, so no cooling unit will be necessary.
