Reach Out To Experienced Kentucky Wine Cellar Design Consultants

The state of Kentucky is also popularly known as the "Bluegrass State." This is owing to the abundance of bluegrass found in many of its pastures due to fertile soil. The capital is Frankfort, but the largest city, Louisville, is the one that draws the attention of tourists. That's because this city is the home to the famous Kentucky Derby. It's usually held on the first Saturday in May. The race is preceded by a 2-week festival and celebrated in the Kentucky Derby Museum year-round. Naturally, that includes good food and fine wine which is why restaurants and bars have started to invest more on custom wine cellars. That's where we come in with our experienced Kentucky wine cellar design consultants!

Featured Projects from our Kentucky Portfolio

Glass Enclosed Wine Rack - 200014
project #200014 - Prospect, KY
This glass-enclosed project in Prospect, Kentucky checked off all the boxes: spacious, simple, and elegant. The racking assembly is comprised of units from our Vintner Series, all in Premium Redwood. A beautiful Dark Walnut Stain was chosen for the racks to complement the rest of the room's colors and decor. LED Downlights and dimmer were also added to highlight the client's collection. For the wine cooling system, they purchased one of our Wine Guardian units.

Mitchell KY Wine Cellar - 294617
project #294617 - Fort Mitchell, KY
Our client in Fort Mitchell, KY was in for a pleasant surprise with the completed wine cellar made from All-Heart Redwood custom wine racks. They purchased a really cool Quarter Round Shelf Cabinet with glass shelves, Diamond Bins, Curved Corner Racks, as well as a non-standard door. They also included some custom crown and base moldings which finished off the racking assembly quite nicely. We also loved the 3 coats of lacquer added to the Dark Walnut Stain option on the racks.

"Everything is great. Turned out better than my expectations." ~Brad S.~

Important Questions to Ask Before Creating Your Kentucky Wine Room

I've heard WhisperKOOL cooling units are great for wine cellars, how do they work?
WhisperKool wine refrigeration units are ideal for entry level wine cellar projects. The difference between the WhisperKOOL systems and traditional air conditioners is the maintenance of well conditioned humidity. With traditional air conditioning units, the system is designed to cool quickly. As a result, humidity is removed below acceptable levels which can lend to dried out corks and oxidized wine. A WhisperKool cooling unit can give optimal results by cooling the air slowly, cycling down the temperature while maintaining humidity between 50% and 70% in a properly prepared wine cellar. We have many great brands and would love to do a FREE BTU analysis for you.

I don't keep a lot of wine but I want a small wine storage area, what do you suggest?
One of the most popular compact wine cellar transformations is a closet wine cellar. It is actually easy to convert unused space in your home such as a coat, shoe, or broom closet into the perfect wine storage for your collection. Our experienced design consultants can show you how it's done!

What type of wood should I have in my wine cellar?
One of the most durable, if not the most durable wine rack, is the Redwood wine rack. Redwood is one of the top four wood choices for custom wine cellar projects. It has great resistance to shrinking, warping, and checking in addition to durability. Moreover, it is SFI-certified. That means Redwood products here at WCI are manufactured with minimal impact on the environment.

Which styles are best for my commercial wine store?
There are lots of styles you can select for a retail wine rack assembly for your store. Our commercial displays and merchandisers offer an extensive selection of units. Recently, we also launched a separate Vintner Commercial Racking line which is more affordable and just as flexible in terms of storage capacity and design.
