Your Alabama Wine Cellar Consultant Is Waiting!
Alabama, the Cotton State, is a southwestern U.S. state that's home to some of the most significant landmarks from the American Civil Rights movement. The capital, Montgomery, proudly houses Martin Luther King, Jr's church and the Rosa Parks Museum. Its industrial outputs stem mostly from iron and steel products and economic growth is owed to the expanding automotive manufacturing industry. Lots of tourists from neighboring countries like Canada and the UK frequent the state every year, particularly Gulf Shores, Orange Beach, and Birmingham. The mix of laid-back lifestyle and big-city attractions make Alabama one of the must-visit US states. Naturally, wine and good cuisine are plenty in the state. WCI has handled a fair number of wine cellar projects in Alabama and we're hoping yours will be the next one.
Featured Projects from our Alabama Portfolio
Alabama Wine Cellars & Wine Racks
project #273238 - Alabama
One of our favorite Alabama wine cellar projects is this beautiful wine room with a combination of wood and metal wine racking units. The wood wine racks are crafted from Premium Redwood and utilized our Blended Stain option. The metal wine racks are from our Vintage View Series, with its unique, label-forward storage system. The darker-hued racks worked in wonderful contrast with the aluminum finish of the metal ones.
project #266806 - Alabama Wine Cellar
Our Traditional Series is looking good in this beautiful wine room! The short depth series is a favorite for keeping the budget down and showing off that display row. The arch of the tasting center is perfectly set between individual racking and as you can see, this client is extremely happy with their setup.
project #294027 - Alexander City, Alabama
This wine cellar we designed for a client in Alexander City is certainly a heavy favorite. It features the Vino Pins from our Wall Wine Racks collections, as well as custom units in Rustic Pine and Dusty Weathered stain option. A Quarter round display and cabinet were incorporated into the racking set-up, completing it beautifully. We are also loving the cabinet with raised panels with European hinges - definitely a nice, additional touch to the understated elegance of the wine room.
project #306494 - Alabama Wine Racks
We love this custom example of DIY wine racks that go 8 feet tall that feature Allheart Redwood Vintner Series wine racking. The tasting center has custom granite added to it and completes the look. We are thrilled our clients are happy with their new wine room.
"Loving my new wine racks! Easy to assemble and look amazing. Really appreciated the nail gun which made the project much easier. "

Important Questions to Ask Before Creating Your Alabama Wine Room
How will my wine cellar look?
Wine cellars can be done by professionals or DIY. In fact, homemade wine cellars
are quite the trend with residential applications these days. A smaller-sized wine storage can definitely be done DIY and designed according to your style preference. But if you want a really detailed and unique look, our professional design team will be happy to work with you.
How easy is it to put the wine racks together?
There are several methods to assembling racking units. Modular wine racks
can be easy to work with since you can rack and stack them with other existing units. If you are a newbie, we highly recommend working with a nail gun to assemble your racking units. Check out the WCI video gallery for our learning video on how to assemble our wine racks.
What's the difference between short and full depth wine racks?
Full depth wine racks will provide full coverage for your wine bottles. In contrast, short depth ones will leave the necks sticking out. Our wine rack kits
have some good examples of these. For example, our Vintner and Designer series provide full depth bottle coverage, while our WineMaker Series is comprised of shallow-depth racks.
Are there any new trends with wine cellar flooring?
These days, there are lots of wine cellar flooring materials to choose from. You can really make your wine cellar unique by choosing beautiful, custom materials such as wine barrel flooring
. WCI carries Vintage Wine Barrel flooring, Cork flooring, Mosaic, and Hand-Painted tile, among others.
