Achieving Stylish Functionality With Commercial Design Services

August 26th, 2013

Merry Monday greetings, wine cellar fans! Did you guys have a blast over the weekend? There were lots of wine tasting events going on in small towns and cities, including food festivals. We’ve been following several Canadian provinces on Twitter over the weekend, like A Taste of Calgary and A Taste of Edmonton in Alberta. For the record, there were lots of wine bars and restos that trotted out their best products for these annual summer taste fests.

There were also tons of awesome shots of the interiors of these commercial wine establishments. But there were also those that obviously needed immediate upgrades. So we decided to whip up this little article to help wine proprietors everywhere achieve a timeless, stylish functionality in their wine cellars!

Why you need to consult a professional…

We may have varying opinions on utilizing professional services when it comes to wine cellar projects, but one thing is undeniable: we need professional assistance. Whether it’s creating the wine cellar from scratch or renovating it, it’s imperative to have the right kind of people guiding us every step of the way. This is most practical with commercial wine establishments. These experienced design consultants will be able to craft dynamic retail displays aimed to enhance wine sales to their fullest potential.

Here at WCI, we offer extensive commercial wine cellar design services, covering both standard and custom racking options. The standard racking services include free 3D black and white design while the custom services comprise a free 2D black and white one. The client can actually specify the criteria for the design as well, to suit the storage needs of his establishment. Thus, it can be by budget, bottle capacity, or any other criteria.

WCI World-Class Services Equals 100% Customer Satisfaction

May 30th, 2013

We’ve always been proud to showcase glowing testimonials of satisfied clients on the wine racking products they purchased here at WCI. But this time around, we’re going to shift the focus on another aspect that the company is quite proud of: our world-class design, installation, and assembly services.

One of our clients who installed a wine cellar in Miami, Florida had this to say about the kind of professional services he experienced while our installers were working on his residential project:

“Please allow me to express my thanks to your company for the excellent service. I experienced during the design and installation of my wine cellar. I would especially like to compliment my consultant who was an invaluable resource and liaison during the entire process.” “Your design and sales team were very helpful. They always made themselves available to answer any questions that arose during planning, construction and even after the final product was installed. The on-site consultations with me, my builders and engineers were instrumental in easing the complexity of the whole project and making it such a success.” “Almost six months after you installed my cellar, it is still breathtaking to my friends and me. The extra time your designers generously spent with me going over all the many details has paid off handsomely, giving me a room for my collection of which I will always be extremely proud.” “Thank you again for your invaluable service and beautifully crafted product. I will be happy to send your referrals to you knowing that they will be satisfied.”

Testimonials like these are what encourage the entire WCI team to continue to move forward and improve more on what we can provide our customers. As far as installation and assembly services are concerned, it’s worthy to note that our installers are factory certified with over 60 years of construction experience. Moreover, we have a 99% satisfaction rate with installs worldwide which is something we are really very proud of. This would include not just residential, but also commercial wine cellar projects. The Best Of 2012 (Part II)

December 27th, 2012

Hey, there wine cellar fans! How did the Christmas celebrations go? We hope you all had an awesome one. Now it’s only a few more days until be bid adieu to 2012! Are you feeling sentimental? We’re kind of, in a way. That’s why we still want to continue from where we left off yesterday. So join us for our final stroll down memory lane as we reminisce some of the most memorable wine cellar projects that really did us proud this year.

A Wine Cellar Brought To Life With The Gold Series In Premium Redwood

dsc_0193-1Here is a project which was originally set to be done three years ago by the client. However, there were a few bumps along the way. But when the time finally came to work on the wine cellar, he placed a call to WCI to help him out once more. Because he remodeled his home, he was now left with a whole lot of space for his residential wine cellar. So our specialists took on the challenge and turned out a super stunning racking assembly using the Gold Series custom wine racks in Premium Redwood. This project actually consisted of both a wine cellar and tasting room. The client reported that during the open house, “nothing but POSITIVE feedback” was given by the guests. In fact, a lot of their friends and relatives lingered in the wine cellar and tasting room “wide-eyed and slack jawed!”

98.5% complete…but it still looks great!

photo
For this year, we were lucky enough to work on a home tasting bar project as well. Consider this as the sole gem we’ve worked on for 2012! It was a refreshing reprieve from the bevy of residential and commercial wine cellar transformations we usually undertake. The Gold Series was also utilized here, a testament to the flexibility and cost-efficiency of this collection. The entire assembly can accommodate over 400 bottles in individual and bulk storage options. The client was proudly quoted ““Your product is top notch and went together like a glove!” We can definitely say that this was one of our crowning moments for this year as well!

The Secret “3” To Achieving Picture-Perfect Wine Cellar Transformations

d7k_4320We posted this on the blog only around two weeks ago. But this project is certainly one of the best ways to cap off the holidays with a memorable bang! This seemingly dollhouse-inspired wine cellar showcased the three major elements that matter the most with any custom wine cellar transformation: function, style, and symmetry. It’s all thanks to the magic of WCI’s top-of-the line custom wine racks courtesy of the Platinum Series and the timeless beauty of Clear All-Heart Redwood. In addition, this is one creation that boasts of some of the most intricate decorative accents offered by WCI. That’s why it’s really a visual feast that’s second to none!

That finally ends our little trip down memory lane. We hope you’ll all keep coming back and supporting WCI as we give it our best shot in bringing about more fabulous projects, transformations, and products for 2013. Remember that our goal is to always give YOU guys the satisfaction you deserve for your wine cellar needs. Here’s to the New Year! *Cheers*

The ABCs of Custom Wine Cellar Transformations

May 24th, 2012

Here’s a classic question we believe we should tackle: How do you start on a custom wine cellar project? Is it really just as simple as say, picking out a design from a magazine or catalogue and reproducing it? Or is it just a matter of buying DIY wine cellar rack kits and putting things together with the help of a brad nailer? Our answers to these questions are all a big, resounding NO.

Turning out a custom wine cellar isn’t that simple but it isn’t something unbelievably complicated either. It’s more like you have to observe a certain process as well, while not scientifically rigid. Still, there are essentials that should not be forgotten especially if you’re looking for results that you really want. That’s why at WCI, we never want to do things half-baked. When we deliver you your custom wine cellars, we make sure that each step taken will lead to pure customer satisfaction. So here’s how we go about it:

1. Initial consultation. This should be the very first and indispensable action a wine cellar enthusiast should take before proceeding with his wine cellar project. No matter how passionate you may be at wanting to create a custom wine cellar, you cannot deny the reality that you will need professional help. Unless you want to waste your precious money and time repeating the project because of construction and design errors here and there, you have to get professional guidance from the very beginning. WCI actually offers free consultation services which come with a free wine cellar design package.

2. Selecting the design. Once the basics have been neatly covered, it’s time to move on to your preferred design. You will definitely have your preferences which our team of experienced design specialists will work exhaustively to bring to life. However, you can also request for further assistance when it comes to choosing the right elements to work with from the wood choice down to the racking style, the wine cellar flooring, ceiling, lighting, and other accessories. If you have something in mind, you can send in a plan to any of our professional wine cellar design consultants and request a complimentary 2-dimensional drawing of your wine cellar. This way, you can actually be able to visualize your dream wine cellar.

3. Review. Definitely, you and your consultant must go over the details of your project before actual construction begins. Specifications must be made to par, especially when it comes to mechanical and logistical requirements. This is exactly how we do it here at WCI because we firmly believe that no stone should be left unturned when it comes to achieving the highest quality wine cellar transformations. Everything must be thoroughly checked and modified accordingly if necessary to ensure that the desired results are met.

4. Construction and installation. Now that everything’s set, it’s time to finally build your wine cellar. Now comes the next equally classic question: should you do it yourself or should you let a team of experts handle the same? The latter is the obviously preferred answer. You will certainly notice the HUGE difference depending on your skill level and the complexity of the job. A professional installer has a lot of experience to add. Even if it’s a seemingly small project like a wine cellar closet, the results will reflect whether or not the right professional touch has been incorporated. If you truly desire to realize your wine cellar dreams, you cannot afford to compromise on this crucial stage.

And there you have it! In principle, the steps are easy enough to understand but whether or not you give each one some serious thought will spell the difference between a custom wine cellar and your DREAM custom wine cellar. So why not get the ball rolling today and chat with our experienced wine cellar design specialists!

The WCI Clean And Green Campaign: A Year-Round Project We’re All Proud Of!

May 14th, 2012

Earth day was officially over weeks ago but who says we can’t have it all year round? Here at WCI, the clean and green campaign never stops and we want it to stay that way. We’ve been running several posts ever since the year opened on our eco-friendly wine cellar products so you guys might be familiar with a few of them. But since we have always believed in a dynamic approach to any wine cellar campaign, the same goes true for our clean and green activities. We’ve compiled some of the major reasons why Mother Nature would definitely be happier if you choose WCI for your wine cellar project.

1. A WCI wine cellar is guaranteed to be formaldehyde-free.

four1
In early January, we introduced on our blog the Formaldehyde Standards For Composite Wood Products Act which is essentially a federal legislation passed on July 7, 2010. The Act prescribed regulations for the control of formaldehyde content in wood products. This includes wood products like plywood which is used mostly for the building of wine cellars. Since formaldehyde contains cancer-inducing compounds, utilizing wood products rich in the said substance is tantamount to committing suicide. Let’s say, it’s a “kill me slowly but surely” thing.

However, when you purchase your plywood and other wine cellar wood products from WCI, you won’t see any of this coming. Our cabinet-grade plywood for wine cellar and wine cellar furniture purposes comes with the Timber Products CARB Certificate. This simply means that the plywood being utilized here at WCI meets both the state and federal standards for formaldehyde content. Such certification also covers other wood varieties like Mahogany, Walnut, and Red Oak, among others. We’re also currently working on our formaldehyde certification program to extend to more of our wood species, including the less popular varieties.

2. We stick with water-based stains and custom finishes.

Stains, lacquers, and other custom finishes can really define the look of any wine cellar and we understand this as much. However, it’s a toxic fact that most stains and finishes, specifically oil-based ones, are not exactly the healthiest options. Oil-based stains and finishes contain higher levels of VOCs (Volatile Organic Compounds) as compared with water-based ones. In addition, it takes far longer for oil-based stains and finishes to cure which means not just you but your wine bottles as well have longer exposure to carcinogenic compounds. With water-based stains and finishes, not only do you avoid all of these toxic effects but getting rid of them in the event that you would want to do a wine cellar makeover is less hazardous. There’s no need to use potent substances like paint thinner or remover, among others.

3. Our Redwood comes SFI-Certified.

Among all our clean and green campaigns, this has to be the one we’re always fond of mentioning in our blog posts. That’s not without good reason, of course! We’re exceptionally proud of our Redwood wine cellar products, especially since this wood specie is one of the top choices for gorgeous, custom wine cellar transformations. For this reason, we cannot help but shine the spotlight on Redwood each and every time it is utilized in a wine cellar project. Since all our Redwood products bear the SFI seal of approval, this means that we’re actually helping wine cellar enthusiasts do their part in caring for Mother Nature. Whenever they purchase our Redwood, they are assured that the wood has been harvested with minimal impact on the environment.

Our clean and green campaign has embraced even the less major areas of our wine cellar production lines. Take for example our Cork Flooring, Tumbled Stone art, Vintage Wine Barrel Tabletops, and many more. So why don’t you do your part for the environment as well and turn every day into Earth Day by purchasing all your wine cellar needs from us!

Reasons Why It Has To Be Wine Cellar Innovations

March 14th, 2012

You probably can buy wine racks anywhere and with online shopping as big as it is today, it’s even easier to buy online. But hear us out just for today as we lay down the reasons why when it comes to wine racks and custom wine cellars, you can’t do better than WCI. When we’re done with our tome, we’re crossing our fingers than in one way or the other, we’ve managed to get the message across!

1. We never compromise on quality.

Manufacturing quality wine racks and building quality custom wine cellars is not just work for us. It’s a passion that fuels us every day to improve our products and services. That’s why when we create custom wine cellars, we take into account every little detail, no matter how insignificant it may seem to the uninitiated. For instance, we provide a wide range of wood choices for the wine racks but we also make it a point to educate our clientele on the top wood options. This makes it possible for them to see the difference when it comes to durability, resistance to warping and shrinking, grain patterns, and other features.

Before you purchase our racks, you can actually chat online with one of our design specialists who can apprise you with your product choice! This makes it possible to have all your queries and doubts put to rest before parting with your precious dollars. We actually give the highest assurance that you are aware of the quality of the wine cellar products you’re purchasing.

2. We keep Mother Nature safe and happy.

This is something we are really very proud of. We’re not shooting off at the mouth here but we do find it an exceptional achievement to manufacture high-quality wine cellar products that are at the same time eco-friendly. Our wine racks are crafted from wood products that bear the SFI seal of approval, particularly our Redwood. With SFI-certification under our belts, we give customers a one hundred percent guarantee that all our Redwood products were manufactured in an environmentally safe manner.

Apart from this, our cabinet-grade plywood for wine cellar furniture is officially formaldehyde-free. We’ve recently complied with the national Formaldehyde Standards for composite wood products and we’re still expanding the program to our other wood products. And last but certainly not the least, we utilize only water-based stains, lacquers, and finishes in our racks and other wine cellar furniture. Without scrimping on quality, we still do our part to keep our environment clean and green and care for our customer’s health, too!

3. We can match anyone for cost.

Indeed we can! If you still haven’t heard of our Commercial Wine Racking Guarantee, you need to get those mouse buttons clicking. We guarantee not only the quality of our products but also their prices. Our Commercial Product Price Match Guarantee easily assures customers that when they buy from us, they get nothing but the best pricing for our commercial product lines. This means that when more or less similar products are sold by other manufacturers at a lower price, we can match up to this so long as the necessary conditions concur.

4. We evolve and revolutionize!

Sure, we provide standard wine racking systems, wine cellar furniture, and accessories, but we do not just stick to the typical designs. We provide our clientele with contemporary racks, displays, and other products that can really properly define the word “custom.” For example, check out our Curvy Wine Cubes and Displays for a contemporary feel to any wine cellar. Or go vintage with a twist with our Vintage View Wine Racks! Plus, it’s worth poring over our custom wine cabinets like our Vinotheque, Wine Sentinel, and Le Cache series which are really a class all on their own. And our exquisite collection of wine cellar art is no slouch for style and elegance either.

So if you look at it, it’s not a matter of asking “Why choose WCI?” It’s more like, “Why shouldn’t you choose WCI!” Take the grand tour today and uncover even more reasons why when it comes to custom wine racks and wine cellars, it just has to be US and no one else!

The Commercial Display Rack Guarantee covers all our commercial wine racking products in connection with providing assurance of highest product quality. This is our way of showing just how much we value our clientele. With the Commercial Product Price Match Policy, our clients can’t get a better price for any wine cellar rack or item than they can from our store. We literally “match up” to prices of competitors for similar products in the event that they may offer lower cost for the same. Per the conditions of this policy, WCI expressly states that: “

Wine Cellar Innovations guarantees to beat all competitors’ products of similar design and construction by 5% of any written offer on their company letterhead or invoicing that is provided.

This means that we even guarantee the best pricing in the market on top of all the other product warranties we extend to our wonderful customers.

Tune in next blog for a second “what’s new” episode on our latest wine cellar products.

Looking Back At All The Good Stuff: Thank You 2011!

December 28th, 2011

2011This year had been something else, eh? Everything was kind of hectic but truly fulfilling in every aspect. We are just really happy at how many wine cellar lovers had come to follow the WCI blog and actually read and be inspired by what we write. So before we bid the productive 2011 adieu, let’s take a look back at all the goods stuff we’ve gone through this year!

The beginning of 2011 got us kicking off with Wine 101: Passive Wine Cellars, a really popular post we did on keeping ideal wine storage conditions in well, what else? Passive wine cellars! While location is not really something to worry about in a wine cellar, a passive wine cellar is kind of the exception. This post gives a lot of valuable info on how passive wine cellars should be located in a subterranean basement and solid tips on regulating temperature controls therein.

Another really interesting post to look back would be Converting Your Basement Into A Wine Cellar: The Basics. The title of the blog post is literally res ipsa loquitor. Wine cellar transformations are quite HUGE during 2011 and basement transformations have been one of the more fashionable ones. See how we ran down the essentials on how to turn those chunks of spaces in your basement into a spanking new wine cellar!

One of our most favorite Tech Tuesday episodes was on wine cellar closets. Episode #17 talked about a small residential closet wine cellar and how custom wine racks can be specially fitted to turn limited spaces into functional and even stylish wine cellars. This particular episode also showcased the aesthetic beauty of Premium Redwood, one of the top wood choices for custom wine cellars.

Also worthy to note is this super interesting post on glass enclosed wine cellars. The images showcasing samples of glass enclosed wine cellars are enticing enough but the article itself is a must-read and re-read at that! Anything that has glass as one of its main elements is bound to be elegant and fabulous. But when it’s wine cellars, it’s on an even more unique level. The visual appeal of your valuable collection of wine bottles is enhanced to the fullest with a glass enclosure as you Make A Statement With Standout Glass Enclosed Wine Cellars.

Now as far as commercial wine cellars go, Eddie Merlot’s wine bar featured in our Tech Tuesday Episode #22 was a masterpiece. It was one of our first Tech Tuesdays showcasing a commercial wine cellar transformation utilizing the Platinum Series in All-Heart Redwood. Ever since Merlot’s gorgeous custom wine racking system hit the WCI blog, 2011 had kind of run a trend with one of our finest combos – Platinum Series and All-Heart Redwood. The results are of course, nothing less than a superbly functional and spectacular wine cellar transformation.

2011 also marked the year where we toted our wine cellar rack kits. The WineMaker Series has become one of our most sought-after kits owing to its cost-efficient features. In Wine Rack Kits To Die For: The WineMaker Series, we showed how aesthetics and budget can actually be harmoniously balanced, all thanks to the flexible configurations of the WineMaker wine rack kits. Built with reduced depth compared to Vintner, these racks still provide so much variation and style when it comes to creating seamless floor-to-ceiling looks for any wine cellar.

And last but certainly not the least, we also ran a pretty nice feature on our corner wine racks. Crazy For Corner Wine Racks gained a lot of attention from discriminating wine cellar enthusiasts who were seeking unique ways to trim those annoying corners, nooks, and crannies in a wine cellar room. We’ve been quite aware of this little issue concerning those valuable inches of space wasted due to stubborn corners. This array of distinctly designed corner wine racks make for the perfect and wonderfully attractive solutions!

And that’s that for 2011, folks! It’s been one satisfying month after another and finally, we’ve reached the close of another great year. We hope you’ll also join us as we greet the Year of the Dragon with a resounding roar – and with bigger and better stuff for our wine cellars. Happy New Year, everyone! Cheers to 2012!

Our booth was over by Hazlitt Vineyards, which Kim befriended and enjoyed some of their delicious wine.

It was a fantastic weekend. Kim thoroughly enjoyed herself and had a fantastic time with all the wine lovers out there.

There were some fantastic reviews of the festival out on the web. Here are some of our favorites:

See Wine Cellar Innovations On the HomeTime Wine Show

June 20th, 2011

Let’s start this week with something to make us all feel good, why don’t we? Why don’t you guys head on over to our Media Video Gallery for a really heartwarming treat to start off the week on the right foot, so to speak. PBBs’ Hometime’s Dean and Miriam Thomas have some wonderful things to say about the Redwood wine cellar racks and it’s all thanks to our very own Pam Kopp!

It really opens your eyes to how easy it is to build a completely custom wine cellar in your home, with our wine rack kits.

Our Designer, Pam Kopp, helped Dean and Miriam put together a spanking all-American (as everything is made from the USA!) wine cellar made from All-heart Redwood. The choice of wood is not hard to figure out because as Miriam emphasizes, wine bottles have to be kept in the best of storage conditions at 55 – 58 degrees and 55 – 75% relative humidity.

All-heart Redwood is known for being a highly resilient type of wood particularly against rot, mildew, and decay and as Dean mentions in the video, it’s clearly the perfect choice for a wine cellar that’s a bit cramped for space in order for those wines to be able to properly breathe. The guys installed a vapor barrier to keep moisture from getting in and together with the right wood choice, the wine cellar is assured to keep those bottle corks from getting moist and moldy.

Now talking about space, Pam certainly deserved a high-five for what she did here. The wine cellar is only approximately 5 x 9 but it can has a bottle capacity of more or less 800 bottles individual bottle storage, magnum sizes, and bulk storage as well. As you go over the video, you’ll notice Dean pointing out to the various racking options provided by the wine cellar kit which is indeed, simply amazing. There’s so much space for individual bottle storage (Dean indicates -75-sized bottles), enough space to hold larger-sized bottles, and secure shelving for boxes and crates of your favorite spirits.

As far as assembly is concerned, the only issue the guys raised was that little bit of difficulty fitting in the racks and archway into the smallish wine cellar space. They had to lay-out and dri-fit everything first outside the wine cellar and re-assemble the parts inside. However, as Dean pointed out, the wine kits comprised of 20 – 22 boxes each carried instruction cards with illustrations for easy assembly. Of course, it’s highly recommended to have people help you out in putting together the racks and don’t forget the brad nailer! See how smooth the guys here assembled all those parts with that handy little tool? A nice tip from Miriam and Dean: use stainless fasteners to mount the wine racks to your walls because these don’t soak up moisture and collect rust.

So you’re going to see Ms. Pam Kopp in the latter part of the video give a little 411 on how she made the wine cellar all come together despite the space issues. She also makes it a point to highlight the focal point of this wine cellar which would be that gorgeous archway and sturdy Redwood countertop. While still in the process of putting finishing touches to the wine cellar, the guys did mention they’re putting up LED lighting which would definitely enhance the natural color of the All-heart Redwood racks.

Miriam and Dean chose WhisperKool for their wine refrigeration unit which Pam also commended given the size and location of the wine cellar. Per Pam, it’s always important to consider these factors along with the other materials for your wine cellar like glass doors and windows to ensure that your wine refrigeration unit would be able to keep those wine bottles chilled and comfy all year-round.

And there you have it! Quality, affordability, and style for your wine cellars have never been easier to come by with wine cellar kits for fantastic and fairly easy wine cellar transformations. Tune in for more video features and don’t forget to chat to our design consultants, only here at Wine Cellar Innovations!

Rooting For Innovation And Sustainability

May 16th, 2011

We take sustainability seriously.

We value the concept very much, especially if it goes hand in hand with innovation.  So when we read about Disney declaring its support for third-party forest certification and embracing all credible certification programs, including SFI (Sustainable Forestry Initiative), we couldn’t help but smile because one, we love Disney, and two, we too, are proud of the steps our company has taken to reduce our carbon footprint.

In Disney’s 2010 Corporate Citizenship Report, the company says:

Disney Corporate Citizenship Report

Nature conservation is a top Disney priority. To support our commitment to nature conservation, an initial focus of our product footprint strategy is reducing raw materials that have a direct impact on forests and ecosystems. We chose to begin with paper-based products and packaging. In the U.S. alone, our Disney Publishing business produces 50 million books and 30 million magazines annually. We also directly source and distribute ESPN Magazine and Hyperion books, as well as various paper products such as stationery and autograph books in our Disney Stores and theme parks.”

We applaud Disney for setting targets for sustainable paper use, and taking all necessary steps to protect the environment. You can read more about their green efforts in this article.

Wince Cellar Innovations’ SFI Certified Redwood

Here at Wine Cellar Innovations, caring about our carbon footprint means caring about our forests. Since building wine racks and wine cellars involves using a lot of wood, we’ve made sure that we help protect the forests that our wood comes from.

All of our Redwood (Premium Redwood and Clear All Heart Redwood) is produced under the guidelines of the Sustainable Forestry Initiative. SFI is one of the two national “Green” Forestry management organizations, and is a fully independent, charitable organization dedicated to promoting sustainable forest management. SFI Certification provides consumers with assurance and confidence that the Redwood products they purchase from WCI have been harvested in an environmentally sound manner. This certification standard is based on principles that promote sustainable forest management, including measures to protect water quality, biodiversity, wildlife habitat, species at risk, and Forests with Exceptional Conservation Value.

As you may already know, the magnificent Redwood has always been a favorite here in WCI. How about we let these Redwood wine cellar installations speak for themselves?

Such a durable, beautiful wood deserves praise and protection, and when you choose to build a wine cellar that uses Redwood, we want you to feel confident that you’re working with a company that values our forests, and that you’re working with a green building material.

Speaking of green building materials, incidentally, we also read about SFI applauding the USDA announcement promoting wood in green building. SFI and a diverse coalition of organizations had called on US Department of Agriculture (USDA) to adopt a more inclusive approach to green building, including recognizing multiple green building rating systems and encouraging the use of wood products from responsibly managed forests.

How’s that for great news?

We may be in the business of wine storage, but we do care about the environmental impact of our actions. While we continue to bring you innovative ideas and designs in wine storage, we will always uphold the values of sustainability in our company. That’s a promise.

Wine Cellar Innovations Helps Raise Money for Culinary Scholarship

November 14th, 2010

If you’ve been following our blog or have been a frequent visitor of our site, then you know how passionate we are about creating a beautiful wine rack and custom wine cellars.

Did we ever tell you that we love supporting great causes too?

Recently, Wine Cellar Innovations donated a beautiful wine rack from our Vintner Series , one of our kits that offer a wide variety of racking options to The Stephan Pyles Celebrity Chef Dinner & Auction, which benefits the The Stephan Pyles Culinary Scholarship of The Wine & Food Foundation of Texas.

The auction was held on November 7, 2010, and we were more than pleased to offer a wine rack to help raise money.  Our donation was an Individual bottle wine rack made from unstained Premium Redwood, featuring 5 columns with display , with a 60 bottle capacity.

Each wine bottle stored on this wine rack is cradled on customized rails that are carefully manufactured with beveled ends and rounded edges to ensure wine labels will not tear when the bottles are removed. This beautiful wine rack also has a built-in display row.

Just in case you didn’t know, Stephan Pyles is the Chef/Owner of Stephan Pyles Concepts. He was named Esquire Magazine’s Chef of the Year for 2006, is a fifth generation Texan, pioneer of New American cooking and founding father of Southwestern Cuisine. He has created 15 restaurants in four cities over the past 26 years including Routh Street Cafe, Baby Routh, and Star Canyon.

Pyles and the Wine & Food Foundation of Texas joined forces to host the 11th annual Celebrity Chef dinner at Pyles’s restaurant, and we were just more than happy to help raise money for the super chef’s culinary scholarship.
