Technical Tuesday Episode #331: Clean And Classy Dark Walnut Racks

May 2nd, 2017

First Tech Tuesday for the month of May is up? So what do we have for you wine cellar fans today? Something really clean and classy, that’s what! It’s no secret that clean and classy lines are popular with almost anything – fashion, architecture, interior decor, and so on. The less busy the appearance, layout, or structure of something is, the more attractive it actually is. That and of course, the functionality factor becomes even more emphasized. Such is the case with today’s Tech Tuesday spotlight:

Project # 290848
Series: Gold
Wood: Premium Redwood
Bottle Capacity: 808

Simple and stunning wine cellar

There is definitely nothing to complain about with this beautiful racking arrangement. The racking units are all from our Gold Series custom wine racks which would explain the clever use of the wine room’s floor area. Note that the Gold Series was specially developed to focus on the economical use of 1×2 open construction. And here you can really see how various racking styles were utilized to maximize the available space and provide as much bottle storage as possible. But what we really love about this project is how clean and seamless the racking assembly is – like a superbly cut and tailored suit.

If you’d look closely, you’ll see that there are no “special” elements in this wine cellar. It consists of custom individual and bulk bottle storage racks and shelves. There are no other accents save for the custom crown and base moldings that finish off the room and help blend in any gaps between the wine racks and the ceiling and flooring for a polished and professional appearance. A bold Dark Walnut Stain option was chosen to make the racks really stand out, especially against the while walls and floors and the glass doors. Owing to this simplicity, the clean and classy appearance of the wine cellar is highlighted to the fullest. It’s worth keeping in mind that the wood option for this project is Premium Redwood. Premium Redwood is beautiful enough unstained, but when dressed up in darker stains and finishes, the wood’s grain patterns become even more stunning.

We’ve said it before in a lot of blog posts and we’ll say it again: simplicity is elegance. If you’re not quite sure what style route to take with your wine cellar project, sticking to an uncomplicated design and layout will work every time. So how did today’s Tech Tuesday rate with you guys? Share your thoughts with us! *Cheers*
