Tech Tuesday – Episode #13 – Dark Walnut Mahogany

December 7th, 2010

Preserving and storing wines is a commitment. And when you decide to build a wine cellar, you know you shouldn’t settle for anything less than the best.

This week’s residential wine cellar was assembled from our top of the line Platinum Series, and also uses Prime Mahogany just like last week’s Tech Tuesday feature. This time though, the owners chose a Dark Walnut stain, which, we must say, looks absolutely fabulous!

Truly a beauty from the ceiling down to the floor, we love how this wine cellar pleases the eye of every one who walks into it.

What: Residential Custom Wine Cellar
Project #: 193569-7
Wood: Prime Mahogany in Dark Walnut stain
Maximum storage capacity:  1,465 wine bottles
Where: Westport, CT

We love how this wine room’s racking can accommodate all bottle sizes and types. It has all the stunning elements of the Plantinum Series wine racks — the widest variety of wine storage options in a full-depth style! With individual bottle storage, bulk storage bins, an elegant archway and table top, it’s the perfect place to open wines and stage your cellar selections for any occasion’s entertainment.

This well built racking system is constructed beautifully, as you can see from the  smooth, eased edges, tapered ends, precise fitting and LED lighting. Why, we can’t wait to see this filled with 1,465 wine bottles — that’s how much wine this wine cellar can hold.

Notice how the diamond bins are installed horizontally instead of vertically(which is normal), and the crown molding below. Nicely done!

Oh, did we mention what an exquisite glass door this wine cellar has? While some wine cellar owners opt for wooden wine doors for that element of surprise, here the owner actually wants to show you what’s inside the cellar right away.

Both the door and this glass wall package was also installed by Wine Cellar Innovations. Family and guests will surely be always delighted by the beautiful wine cellar within these glass walls!

If you’re a fan of  Technical Tuesdays , we’ve definitely got more wine cellars for you to read and rave about. In the meantime, do view our residential wine cellars photo gallery.
