QUICK FRAMING GUIDE FOR ORNATE IRON DOORS

  
step 1 PREP

• Complete standard framing for an entry door.		 Ornate Iron Door Framing  

 
step 2 INSERT ADDITIONAL ANGLED SUPPORTS

• Insert additional angled supports leaving a 1” gap from the Pre-Hung door dimension.		 1 inch gap  


step 3 DRYWALL FRAMING

• The preferred install method for eyebrow and radius top doors is to wait to install the drywall until after the door arrives. However, if that isn’t possible, then the builder should run the drywall across the height of the door’s arch-spring point. Then, when the door arrives. Set the door against the drywall, and mark the radius on the drywall with a pencil. Then, cut the drywall to fit the door.		 drywall framing 1
