Raised panels are the square
or rectangular panels in the ceiling. The ceiling grid
pieces are the long pieces of wood that are used in between
the raised panels. The solid panel used in Scenarios #2
& #3 is the material used to cover up the customer's actual
ceiling above the wall racks. This is so the customer
cannot see their original ceiling through the wine racks.
As shown in Scenario #3, a vertical solid panel creates
the soffit above the racking. This panel goes around the
perimeter of the room. The soffit crown creates a flowing
transition from the raised panel ceiling into the soffit.
The corner edge puts a decorative cap over the seam where
the solid panels meet.
If a room has curved corners, curved raised panels can be made. We currently do not make a curved soffit. Only the panels will have radius edges. If a customer has curved corners in their racking and they want a raised panel ceiling, they will not be able to have a curved soffit in the wine cellar ceiling. The soffit will be squared.
