How To Add A Dash Of Mystery To Your Wine Cellars

February 29th, 2012 by

There are a number of myths and urban legends associated with leap year. Whether these have any basis in truth or fact, we can never really be sure. However, one thing is certain. We thrive on mystery and we enjoy hearing tales of good luck and fortune which can supposedly happen on a leap year. Of course, our interests are also perked up by stories of alleged bad luck and how we can avoid them on this mysterious extra day in the month of February.

One really popular belief is that a person born on a leap year will have some sort of supernatural powers. They say most psychics are born on the 29th of February and their powers are derived from the unusual alignment of the planets during that date. Another is that it was said to be bad luck for couples to get hitched on a leap year. Well, whether it’s good or bad, these urban legends really can get anyone hooked which goes to show how something mysterious can catch anyone’s attention. So why not factor in that element in your wine cellars as well?

Mystify with amazing wine cellar transformations…

How To Add A Dash Of Mystery To Your Wine Cellars
We have always been a big fan of unique wine cellar transformations, particularly Under Stairwell Transformations. It just tickles the imagination when you discover that beneath that seemingly innocent flight of stairs, a different world actually exists down below. It’s so much like Alice In Wonderland who plunged into that tiny rabbit hole to end up in a mysterious and beautiful world on the other side. For a more ethereal effect, try putting in Wrought Iron Grilles for your wine cellar door or Etched Glass doors.

Speaking of putting in a mysterious touch to your wine cellar, one of the best ways to achieve this is with the right wine cellar lighting. Illuminate and captivate with custom wine cellar lighting that will certainly enhance the ethereal quality of your racks and prized bottles. Recessed LED Downlights, for instance, are a super clever way to highlight your ceiling or standard wine cellar archway for a gorgeous, mystical effect. Or you can also try some Fluorescent Slimlites to accentuate stained glass, glass etchings, and other decorative applications for an enchanting look.

How To Add A Dash Of Mystery To Your Wine Cellars

Nothing says “mysterious” than camouflaged storage spaces in your homes and of course, your wine cellars. Remember how Nancy Drew and Hardy Boys got us so hooked once upon time? Secret doors, hidden lockers, disguised bookshelves and so on really stir the imagination! Well, you can do that in your wine cellars as well. Create an aura of mystery with Custom Cabinetry such as Raised Panel Cabinet Doors or Flat Panels that give your wine racking system a solid and seamless look. But beyond those panels and doors would lie hidden racks of more delectable wines or exquisite, delicate glassware. You can also throw in some decorative onlays and borders for a more intricate appeal and make for a beautiful cover-up. No one would probably suspect that behind those delicate decors are more storage spaces for your wine bottles and other wine accessories.

Leap year happens only once every four years. It’s considered to be something unusual yet at the same time, special. Think of it as a feel-good kind of mystery, the kind that would be perfect for custom wine cellars! So go ahead and add a dash of mystery and mystic to yours this year.

Just One Artistic Rendezvous

February 27th, 2012 by

It has been said that art is a tryst, for in the joy of it maker and beholder meet.

~Kojiro Tomita~

An affair with art is simply a magical and memorable one. It is an expression of one’s honest feelings, a lot like how wine is! Which is probably why putting a bit of artistic touch in your wine cellars can turn them from ordinary storage facilities to a wine tasting wonderland.

At Wine Cellar Innovations, We Heart Art as much as any true blue connoisseur. This is why we always find ways to explore artistic possibilities in the creation of custom wine cellars. We make it a point to encourage our wine cellar artists to grow and innovate in their respective genres, all in the name of excellent art and grand wine cellars.

Hand-painted wonders…

One of our most popular wine cellar art pieces is definitely our hand-painted murals. It’s a fairly common thing to see wine cellar paintings and murals in most wine cellars, particularly wine cellar rooms. However, it’s not always that you can get custom wine cellar art pieces that are created to your preference and dimensions. But here at WCI, we bring you stunning custom themed wine art collections done with acrylics or oils by the hands of professional and superbly gifted wine cellar artists.

As far as hand-painted murals and paintings are concerned, we carry a very exquisite line of artistic masterpieces from our Classical Moments Collection, Contemporary Moments Collection, Wallpaper Canvas Paintings, to Onsite Murals. And one of the geniuses behind these ethereal creations is our in-house artist Augustina.

Augustina hails fromDetroitand has studied a plethora of artistic styles in various prestigious universities. Her work is heavily inspired by the styles of Spanish and Mexican artists and she has produced so many stunning works for both commercial and residential wine cellars over the years. Her ability to play with color and light and bring a dramatic flair to every artistic creation makes her a frontrunner in putting together our Classical Moments Painting Collection.

That inspire the imagination!

Recently, Augustina undertook a huge commission for consisting of a gorgeous collection of onsite murals. Onsite murals are artworks that are painted directly on the walls or ceilings of wine cellar owners. Since there have been more and more clients who prefer to have accents done in their wine cellars in a personal manner, we catered to this need by providing them with artists who can travel and paint for them in actual.

Just One Artistic Rendezvous

This method allows for a more detailed customization of the style and design of the wine cellar art to perfectly match the theme of the entire wine cellar. It also allows for the wine cellar owner to input his personal preferences and witness just how talented the artist really is. All in all, having the art done on-site is a truly awe-inspiring experience that feeds the imagination of both the artist and the client.

How To Be Commercially Chic In Montgomery County

February 23rd, 2012 by

Today, let’s take a little visual trip to Maryland, specifically Montgomery County. The Montgomery Department of Liquor Control purchased some commercial wine racks from WCI a while back and sent in these super gorgeous shots!

Needless to say, we were extremely pleased at how they dressed up these commercial wine displays with a plethora of colorful collections.  But even more than this, we were really just happy with the wonderful feedback they gave on our products. They enthusiastically described the displays as “just beautiful” and did their varied collection of alcoholic beverages justice.

We were totally hyped when we saw these images because we found out the Department actually purchased a LOT from our commercial wine rack section. Here we can see how tastefully they arranged everything on the Premium Triple Tier Maximizer, the Premium Six Shelf Vertical Display, as well as the Premium Radiused Curved Corner Display-6 Shelf.

Notice, too, what a nice artistic touch the Premium Waterfall End Cap and Premium Waterfall Vertical Bin give to the entire racking system. Since the Depatment’s main thrust is to provide efficient and quality wholesale and retail sales of alcoholic beverages, these wine racks and displays offer a most effective solution to organizing their extensive and growing liquor collection.

Of course, it’s definitely worth mentioning that the commercial wine racks and displays at WCI are all designed following the most popular custom options of retail wine stores and commercial wine establishments. With their flexible configurations, outfitting just about any retail wine store is almost effortless. Most of these racks and displays are highly compatible when it comes to mixing and matching things up to create truly unique and functional wine racking systems.

Other purchases for the Department’s liquor store included the Premium Six Shelf Vertical Display, Premium Diamond Cube Commercial Display Racking, Premium Redwood 2 Column Bin Display, and the Premium Quarter Round Shelf Fixture. The wood choice for all items was nothing less than the uber versatile Premium Redwood, unstained, and simply beautiful.

Last but not the least, the customer was kind enough to mention at how “friendly” the prices were, allowing them to achieve an amazing custom look to their store at off-the-shelf costs. Well, as an added cherry on top to future customers, do take note of our Commercial Product Price Match Guarantee. We provide the best pricing for all commercial wine cellar products in the market and match up to the competition!
