Wine Cellar Roundup – Edition #50

September 2nd, 2011 by

This week flew by so quickly! I hope you have some good plans for the long weekend. We will be closed on Monday but we are running some fantastic online sales so feel free to shop through the weekend!

25 Popping examples in Cork Art has some amazing photos. Have you thought about utilizing cork tabletops or cork flooring?

Gary Vaynerchuk is leaving the wine world which is a huge shock. Joe from 1WineDude had an excellent write-up about it.  I’ve watched a few of Gary’s hilarious videos and while I don’t watch every one, I admire his authenticity, beliefs, and his passion! I can’t wait to see what he does next.

Mobile is taking over payments at traditional stores. Traditional? You know… those building you walk into for browsing and then paying at a register? Wineries are setting them up. Nordstroms, Lowes, Home Depot, and more are moving into mobile to better serve their customers. I think if it means better service, all the better!

I’m loving this wine map stylized to the metro map for France. It gives it an interesting look to where the wines are at.

Northern California wine country is expensive to live in and grow grapes in for a darn good reason. Why? It’s beautiful!

Here is a fun little test from the BBC. How good are you at spotting fake smiles? I got 17 out of 20 so not bad, I think!
