Wine Cellar Roundup – Edition #54
Busy week behind me and it’s continuing to be busy up ahead! What’s your week looking like? We have some fun fall activities this weekend and then it’s getting ready for my favorite holiday ever! Here were some fun things I saw this week…
Visit with the Winemaker of the Year according to Gourmet Traveller in Australia. There are some pretty interesting stories there.
I LOVE Snooth’s fun articles, this one is talking about 8 funky new ways to package wine. I think the Tetra Pak is the funkiest. Wine boxes, anyone?
Top 10 Tips to do wine country right! I love this, I need to get back to Napa one day.
Regional Wine Week is coming up! Which local wines will you be drinking?
Look at these adorable baby bears playing! I wouldn’t want to get between them and the Mama Bear so I’m glad these wilderness travelers caught it on camera.
And… I may have watched this video a few times already today. And yesterday.
Check Out This New Installation of a Wine Sentinel Custom Wine Cabinet
This has really been an amazing year for us and we’ve received quite a number of heartwarming testimonials from satisfied clients who were generous enough to share their great experiences with our products. Two weeks ago, Gary gave a wonderful feedback on our Curvy Wine Cubes. Last week we heard from Susan and her seven year old wine cellar and today, we’re going to hear what Carl has to say about his custom wine cabinet which he commissioned from us.
First off, Carl was concerned about space issues because he didn’t have a basement or room for a walk-in wine storage facility. A custom wine cabinet from the Wine Sentinel series provided the perfect solution to both his space and storage problems. We popped a couple of questions his way just to see how things were going with his new wine cellar and he certainly had some very nice things to say.

Regarding the actual product itself, the client expressed his contentment with the way his custom-built, refrigerated cabinet worked with the structure and design of the room. The Wine Sentinel with its generous storage capacity and stunning French door entry is indeed worth every dollar. It comes complete with a wine cooling unit and available in an assortment of wood types and stain options.
And speaking of stain options, Carl was also equally pleased with his choices that worked exceedingly well with the décor of the room as you can glean from the images he sent us. You might want to check out our Stain & Finish Review and Interactive Swatch Viewer and see for yourself!

Apart from the excellence of the product itself, Carl was enthusiastic in mentioning how smooth and professional everything was, from the consultation stage down to the completed installation of the cabinet. Per Carl, “I did interview other companies that claimed to have wine storage expertise – but none had the experience or professional approach to the project as the people from WCI. It was obvious that the sales, design, and installation professionals at WCI had years of experience in custom projects and their attention to detail and customer satisfaction was second to none. Wine storage is all WCI does and they are experts at it.”
The client was also really sweet in sharing this little tip: “I would recommend planning for more bottles than you think you initially need. Now that I have the storage space – I am filling it up quickly.” And there you have it! Uplifting reviews from a happy wine cellar enthusiast and the high praise just made our day, our week, and practically our entire month here at WCI! So why not send in yours as well? Let us know what you think of your purchases and how we can improve our products and services to help everyone realize their wine cellar dreams.
Doing Our Part With Eco-Friendly Wine Cellar Products
In the light of the recent calamities, it’s high-time we rethink our choices especially when it comes to things that we use in our homes and establishments. Mother Earth has been through a lot and we should really do our part even in the smallest of ways to help her out.
Now we hope you’ve all been following our blogs for the last couple of months but if you’ve missed out, do refresh your memories with our Go Green episode. We treasure all of nature’s blessings and while always trying to cater to our client’s wine cellar needs, we also make it a point to do what we can for the environment. So today, we’re bringing you our line of eco-friendly wine cellar products to also help you out with clean and green choices.
Wood Choices
Let’s start off with wood choices for your wine racks and other wine cellar furniture. We provide our clients with a broad range of wood varieties that can meet their needs and personal preferences. But that’s not all. Apart from bringing high-quality and select woods, we also haveSFI(Sustainable Forest Initiative) certified picks that give customers the assurance that the wood they purchased have been harvested in an environmentally sound manner.
Our Clear All-Heart Redwood and Premium Redwood species all bear theSFIcertification which simply means that when you purchase Redwood wine racks or wine furniture, you are helping preserve the environment by participating in sustainable forestry and prompt reforestation, some of the basic tenets of theSFICertification Program. So you might want to check out our Traditional Redwood Wine Racks wine racks and see how we combine quality, style, and affordability with eco-friendly features. It definitely can’t get any better than that!
Wine Cellar Flooring
In terms of wine cellar flooring selections, we offer you so much variety with materials from wood to stone, to tile, and even mosaic tile. But apart from that, we also allow you to enhance your wine cellars with choices that can definitely make Mother Earth smile. Our Cork Flooring option is a beautiful product made of natural and durable material that can make your wine cellar look amazing but at the same time make you feel good about helping the environment.Corkbeing a rapidly renewable source, it’s harvested with minimal impact on the environment.
On another note, we also have the Vintage Wine Barrel Flooring option which we have mentioned a couple of times in our previous blogs as well. We can’t help emphasizing our love for this flooring option because it’s truly a work of art with its unique design (remember, no two planks are alike!) and classic appearance. And here’s what you guys should really keep in mind: the Vintage Wine Barrel Flooring is crafted from reclaimed wood components from wine barrels and this showcases our own brand of “recycling” materials for a totally eco-friendly outcome.
Wine Accessories
Racks, furniture, and floors notwithstanding, we also provide wine cellar accessories for your wine cellars that are in line with our going “green” campaign. In trying to cover all the bases, we also bring you wine cellar tabletops that are fashioned from wine barrels for a stunning, authentic vintage look. What’s even better, these tabletops are made from aged wine barrels which also make them environment-friendly without compromising on the style factor. You can even customize them further with etched glass tabletops for a very reasonable upgrade fee!
Caring for our environment is just as important as caring for ourselves because in the long run, what we do to our environment is also a reflection of how much we value our lives here on earth. It may sound cheesy and cliché, but it’s the simple truth. Let’s do our best for our environment and start with eco-friendly purchases for our homes and wine cellars today. The smallest steps can do great wonders!
Tech Tuesday Episode #54: Premium Redwood Commercial Wine Cellar
Let’s take a break from residential wine cellars today, shall we?
The past Tech Tuesdays, we’ve shown you some fabulous home wine cellars designed and built by our experts. We can’t get enough of them, and we hope they inspired you to build one in your home too! Every Tuesday we show you one of a kind wine cellar designs, just like last week’s beautiful glass enclosed wine cellar. If you liked it, be sure to leave a comment, or share the link with your friends!
Now if you’re a seller of wines, you’d want to make sure that your displays are attractive enough to lure customers and convince them to buy, right? Well, you can do that with well selected wine racks and strategic placement in the store.

Now commercial wine cellars are typically used in restaurants and wine and liquor stores, and these cellars demand the same quality and detail as residential cellars. They usually hold a large number of wines, so imagine the number of wine storage display options you can have when you’re building a commercial wine cellar! Here at Wine Cellar Innovations, we enjoy custom tailoring special elements that are unique to hospitality and commercial industries, and it usually starts with the choice of wood for the wine racks.
Our client chose the affordable Gold Series, which features Premium Redwood wine racks. Here the racks are stained in Dark Walnut. This mid-range selection of custom wine racks provides both full depth racking and a variety of wine storage options. When you want to display over a thousand wines (which is the capacity of these racks), the Gold Series is a cost-effective choice.

Now when it comes to commercial displays, the racks’ overall appeal is important. After all, you want people to buy! This store shows off some of Wine Cellar Innovations’ eye catching commercial wine storage – wine display bins, wine display islands and diamond bin wine displays. There are also quarter round shelves and adjustable shelf wine cabinets for more storage space! We would have loved to see this store all stocked up, but for now, let’s just admire the dark colored wine racks, shall we?
With various wine racks styles and shelving in the corners of your commercial store, you can really get creative in your presentation of beverages, spirits, and decorations to showcase your items.

Your choice of racking styles and their placement in the store are crucial. Our experts not only help you with the racking selection, but help you arrange your racks in such a way that sales can be maximized. Just imagine what a stunning wine cellar could do for your business! With a dynamic display and a wide selection of wines to choose from, you not only give your customers great products, but a great shopping experience as well.

Show your customers that your store is passionate and serious about wine with a custom designed cellar. Not only would it be a convenient place to store your business’s wine collection, it will also create an inviting atmosphere for them and keep them coming back!
